Metropolitan Apartment Program
Metropolitan Apartment Program (M.A.P.) provides long-term supportive, housing for 16 homeless (or formerly homeless) mentally ill adults who are willing to try living in their own apartment. These residents have not previously lived independently, but have shown they are ready to try. Residents pay one third of their income toward rent and HUD or the Association subsidizes the rest. This is our most rapidly growing program with more units coming online in the near future. The apartments are located in several neighborhoods around Tulsa and Association staff regularly visits the residents to provide support services. M.A.P. emphasizes coordination with community service providers to develop both stability and the skills necessary to live independently.
