SafeTeam is an early-warning, school based communication system that utilizes the eyes, ears and voices of the entire school community.  The SafeTeam program is based on the belief that individual students are the best sources for knowledge of potential safety issues and problems within the school.  Students know the who, what, when, and where of a fight before it ever happens.  Students know when a friend is struggling, becoming depressed, and having thoughts of suicide.  SafeTeam includes the thoughts, opinions and input of students, teachers, faculty, the SafeTeam coordinator, community members, and a clinical consultant to create a culture of safety in the school building.
